Bouillides, Clausonnes, Croûtons, Regouaro, Rine, Rondon, Saint-Philippe or Saint-Félix... So many place names, sometimes funny, that still have an origin and a meaning, sometimes forgotten, sometimes distorted over the years or centuries because they were badly transcribed by French topographers who didn't know the local languages. In the past, places were named according to their relief, their vegetation and their trades, but their names also reflect the different eras: Ligurian, Roman, Greek and so on. Discovering these names is a great way to rediscover our commune, but also the other communes in our department where similar names can be found (Issarts, Vignasses, Moulières, Bréguières, etc.).
